There's no RNG, there's not an insane DPS check, it's just all mechanics. I'm not good at WW whatsoever but I'm a strong mechanics player so I was able to execute the fight for ~9-10 mins without making a mistake and got it in a very low number of attempts (I want to say about 7-8.) This is on a level 51 monk with no weird gear. If you can play with even the barest minimum of ability and do the strategy correctly, you can complete it. 100% mechanics, no chance of death unless you make a mechanic error. To me, the perfect Mage Tower is Windwalker vs. Having done all of the challenges except Xylem, I agree with your last sentiment for most of them. I can't fathom how they took such a slam-dunk and made it so disappointing. But I'm not going to cram it all in before timewalking is done and I'm not going to farm meme items on multiple characters. I was really excited when I heard it got scaled cause I thought that meant you weren't going to be able to overgear it.Īlso, why is it timegated? I was going to level a bunch of characters and do the tower on all of them because I thought I could do these things in questing greens. It's not supposed to be "See how much boring content you can stomach to farm items that have randomly broken scaling that will do the challenges for you." The way it is now seems really against what the point of the mage tower is. Why wouldn't blizz just decide on character setups for each spec and balance around that? I see on wowhead that you can like do old dungeons on a level 40 character to try to farm the op mage tower items. Why is this a thing? I'm honestly so confused why you can so easily cheese it with these weird items. All of a sudden this challenge is 10 times easier and I finished it in like 3 attempts. Then, I equipped some meme old items that I had and used a heirloom weapon with a crusader enchant. I was banging my head against the outlaw rogue one for hours barely able to get past the 1st phase and wondering how this was possible at all. I just got out of finals and have been itching to try the mage tower since I absolutely loved it in Legion. ![]() I imagine I'm late to this one and it may have been discussed already on this sub. ![]() Filter your r/wow experience with this guide!.Murloc Mondays (New Players Q&A) Reset Recruitment Midweek Mending Tanking Thursday Firepower Friday (DPS) Saturday Achievement and Loot Thread Skirmish Sundays (PvP) Blizzard Subredditsĭiablo - Starcraft - Hearthstone - Heroes of the Storm - Overwatch - WC3 - Classic WoW - Mystery -įrequently Asked Questions about Dragonflightįrequently Asked Questions.
